We’re delighted to share that Matthew Hobbs, Structural Engineer in our Technical team, has successfully completed his Masters degree in Advanced Concrete Technology. 

The three-year course, which included two years of modules and exams followed by a year-long dissertation, focused on developing lower carbon technologies for prestressed concrete – an area of growing importance for our industry and for Naylor’s innovation efforts. 

Matthew commented: 

"The course has given me real expertise in concrete design and technical knowledge, particularly around durability – something that’s crucial in everything we do here." 

The company supported Matthew throughout his studies, covering the cost of the programme and providing access to our in-house laboratory facilities for his research work.
